Introduction

BMI Calculator Pro (“we”, “us”, “the App”) helps users calculate BMI, BMR, and TDEE and track weight and related health metrics. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and your choices. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

• Local app data: Profiles, weight logs, goals, settings, generated PDF reports, and exported files are stored locally on your device.
• Device & usage analytics (Firebase Analytics): We collect anonymized usage and performance data via Firebase Analytics. Collected data may include event names (feature usage, screen views), timestamps, device model, OS version, app version, language/locale, basic device identifiers, and crash/performance traces. This data is used to improve the App.
• Diagnostic data (optional user-provided): When you submit a bug report or export logs via the App, you may include screenshots or log files. Those attachments are only sent when you explicitly submit them.
• No account data by default: The App does not require account sign-in; we do not collect email addresses or other persistent personal identifiers for basic use.

How we use information

• Core functionality: Local profile and weight data are used to provide calculations (BMI/BMR/TDEE), trend charts, goal tracking, reminders, and PDF generation. This data remains on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
• Analytics (Firebase): Usage and performance data are used to understand feature usage, diagnose stability/performance issues, prioritize fixes, and improve the product. Analytics are aggregated or pseudonymized and are not used for personalized advertising within the App.
• Diagnostics: Data you attach in a bug report helps us investigate and fix issues.

Third-party services and sharing

• Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics (a Google product) to collect and process anonymized analytics on our behalf. Firebase may process data described above under its own policies. We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
• Explicit sharing: Exported PDFs, CSVs, or any files you choose to share are handled by your device’s share/export mechanisms and may be transferred to services or contacts you select; we are not responsible for how third parties handle those files.
• No sale of data: We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

Data retention and deletion

• Local data: All primary user data is retained locally on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Deleting a profile or uninstalling the App removes data from the device; copies you exported or shared may remain where you saved/shared them.
• Analytics data: Firebase retains analytics data according to Google/Firebase retention policies. We do not control Firebase’s retention beyond standard configuration; aggregated analytics may be retained to improve the App.
